1. Definitions

"Workshop" / "we" / "us" refers to mainspringed and its staff operating from the above address.

"Client" / "you" refers to any person who brings a timepiece to the workshop, submits an enquiry, or engages our services.

"Service" means any work carried out by the workshop on a timepiece, including but not limited to: Mechanical Health Check & Service, Heirloom Restoration, and Care & Protection Visit.

"Agreement" means these terms together with any written quotation or job note provided to the client.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By leaving a timepiece with us or confirming a service quotation in writing (including by email or message), you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. Our services are available to persons aged 18 and over who have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement.

3. Services Provided

We offer watch care and repair services as described on our website and in any written quotation provided. Service availability is subject to the condition of the timepiece, availability of parts, and our current workshop schedule. We reserve the right to decline a service request where we consider it outside our capability to carry out safely or to an appropriate standard.

4. Quotations and Pricing

Published prices apply to standard service scopes. Where additional work is identified during a service, we will contact you to discuss and agree on any additional cost before proceeding. No additional work will be carried out without your consent. Prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5. User Responsibilities

• You confirm that you are the owner of the timepiece, or that you have the owner's authorisation to have it serviced.
• You agree to provide accurate information about the watch's history, known faults, and any previous work carried out on it.
• You are responsible for collecting the timepiece within 30 days of being notified that work is complete. Storage beyond this period may incur a reasonable holding charge, which we will communicate to you in advance.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, images, and design — is the property of mainspringed or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our written consent. Viewing and sharing links to our website for personal, non-commercial purposes is welcome.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon collection of the timepiece unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and major bank transfers. For restoration projects, a deposit may be required before work begins; this will be outlined in the written quotation. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel the project after work has commenced.

8. Service-Specific Terms

Mechanical Health Check & Service: The scope covers what is described in our published service description. Parts beyond standard lubricants may be quoted separately.

Heirloom Restoration: Work is carried out in agreed stages. Each stage is communicated and confirmed with you before proceeding. Original components removed during the process are documented and returned to you unless otherwise agreed.

Care & Protection Visit: This covers the standard scope listed. Any findings beyond that scope will be communicated to you as observations, not carried out without your agreement.

9. Disclaimers

Watch servicing involves inherent risks, particularly with aged or fragile timepieces. We take reasonable care at all times, but we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden damage, or deterioration that becomes apparent only during disassembly. We will inform you of any such findings immediately.

We do not make promises about specific performance outcomes, timing accuracy, or the future condition of a timepiece following service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, our liability to you in respect of any service is limited to the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or sentimental losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify mainspringed against any claims, costs, or losses arising from inaccurate information you have provided, or from your breach of these terms.

12. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel a service at any time before work has begun and receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Once work has commenced, cancellation will be subject to a charge for work already completed and materials already sourced. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service if we identify circumstances that make safe completion impractical.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can discuss the matter and seek a fair resolution. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any unresolved dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

14. General Provisions

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our rights. These terms represent the entire agreement between you and the workshop in respect of services provided.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
